It's the gayest time of the year!

I am a happy bunny today, for not only did I go to karate, I also popped into the shops, where I saw this:

legoadventcal09

Isn't that the sweetest thing ever? There's a little lego construction worker holding hands with the lego fireman, and the lego chef seems to want to make it a threesome.

Uh-oh. Just spotted lego policeman coming in to break up the party…

Hahaha that's an awesome calendar! Much better than the stupid 'pictures' behind the windows when I was a kid. Chocolate ones ftw too.

Also, Karate? You seem to shock me with something new every time you post. I want Flora to go to karate so she can protect herself from biting children (see latest post) but I think at 4 1/2 she might be a bit too young?

Hmm, I'm considering karate for my just-over-four child. He likes babies and guns, and is also very physical: I think karate has something to offer him...

Ooh, could well be. Possibly because he's very fond of cuddling ;-P

Rawk! Another karate fiend!! Go, you! What belt are you at so far?

I think Santa is looking a bit surprised by all the hand-holding. He needs to lighten up a bit(: I got my daughter a fair-trade chocolate one. She'll probably appreciate it more. I might have a few addresses for the Lego one, though...

@the_flic and sabethea- they're not too young if they can listen. If they have trouble sitting still then waiting a year or two might be beneficial (for everyone- it can be frustrating if they're not ready yet, and that can turn them off it). The association that my dojo is a part of doesn't hand out black belts until the kid turns 17, so starting earlier doesn't necessarily give any head start.

Heh. 6th. I'm just a pup. But I'm enjoying myself immensely. My master plan is to get my black belt by the time I'm 40 (although, seven years is starting to seem like a bit of a rush, now :)

Mm. With my boy it does depend how interested he is, and how many other people are being told at the same time. He can sit still for MASSIVE amounts of time when he chooses... the point being 'when he chooses'. I think it is something to take him along to for a few weeks and see whether he is prepared to listen for a while. I definitely love your association - my intent in sending him has nothing to do with pushy-parenting and it's nice to know that wouldn't be possible.

(incidentally, your icon? Apologies if you're not HP fen, but it reminded me of one of my favourite (albeit with interesting spelling) fanfics - http://community.livejournal.com/suicidal_frog/25684.html )

Hah. Very good(: I can totally see Darth Vader having that conundrum, too...

Yes, I love my association, too. Non-competitive, inter-disciplinary, focused on helping people to better themselves through self-discipline, exercise and good thoughts. It's pretty cool (:

*g*

So true. *is sekrit Star Wars adorer, except when they showed the 'Why DV Became DV' film when I was pregnant* ;-)

Okay, I've been too cryptic. The third of the new three, with him seeing his love die in childbirth. NOT helpful!

Ok. I missed that one, too. I saw 'the phantom menace' and swore off Lucas for life ;p
