My cup runneth over....

Well, I'm having a good couple of days here. Firstly the temperature's dropped - apologies to all those who actually enjoy sweating profusely and suffering from heatstroke, but I'm actually much more comfortable now, thank you.

And then yesterday, the gym was invaded by twinks! Yup, a veritable onslaught of good-looking young men. Don't know where they came from. Maybe there's some sort of agency that supplies them? Anyway, for some reason I had my best workout for a long time...

And today I found out that Snared is on the bestseller list at Dreamspinner!

Now, I have no idea how this bestseller list works. Do all new releases tend to end up there simply because sales are higher when they're new? I don't know, and frankly, I don't need to. My old writing tutor has been able to email to congratulate me on writing a bestseller, and that is enough! ;)

Oh - and I won a book on a [livejournal.com profile] torquere_social competition! Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] amoler!

*dances you*

I'm actually not surprised - it is splendid... especially after all the editing ;-P

You're not the only one who prefers the cooler temperature we've got now - I don't have to worry quite so much about my plants dying of sunstroke while I'm at work (although the weatherman gave me a scare yesterday when he mentioned "a chance of ground frost overnight in rural areas of mid-wales" and I was all "But I just planted out my tommy-ar-toes!"), and also I can actually sleep *all night*. Last week I could only get as far as dozing for a few hours at a time before the warmth woke me up (and that was with all the upstairs windows open still!)

Mind you, I've not been so keen on the temperature at work today - just too hot for keeping my jacket on, but just a wee bit nippier than I'd like when I took it off. Bah! Why can't my world be perfect all the time?

I've never been to any salt mines - I found that picture using a well-known internet search engine XD

I welcome the slightly cooler weather too, although I was mighty pleased when the sun came out this afternoon as I was on the beach!

I've no idea how the bestseller list works either, but congrats anyway! I bet it generates more sales as well, as I often get mesmerised by the titles coming up when I visit the Dreamspinner site.

I like to do things the unexpected way round! And I am a little tanned, but thankfully not burned.

BTW, your twinks made me remember, I saw some pretty young men giving each other a rather touchy feely hug on the streets of Bath the other day, and went all gooey inside. I went to make a comment to my friend, who had seen where I was looking and just shot me a "Oh, there you go again" sort of a look and rolled her eyes. Damn, I'm getting predictable!

Congratulations!
