Sometimes Cupid has his own agenda.

Carpenter Peter takes his hyperactive ten-year-old nephew to play in the park with his home-made bow and arrows -- but makes the mistake of closing his eyes for a minute. Alerted by a yell of pain, he’s mortified to find that Kevin has shot a tall, handsome stranger in the rear end. Especially when Kevin suggests Peter should kiss it better!

Cultured lawyer Edward doesn’t seem to mind. An embarrassing encounter leads to a hot date -- but Peter's guilty secret about Kevin’s father could undo all Cupid’s good work, and Edward’s flair for the dramatic isn’t exactly helping!

Bought and read!

What a great little story! It's always good to see characters who know what they want and don't shy away from asking for it. I guess that's one of the things I love about M/M romance. There's none of this "oh, he'll think I'm a slut if I have sex with him on the first date," or "she'll think I'm only after one thing if I have sex with her on the first date." Ugh.

Wanted to add that I liked the cover. I'm so tired of book covers that feature bald hard bodies. A bloke dressed in regular clothes leaves something to the imagination, and I'm all in favor of that.

Oh, thank you! I'm so pleased this story's getting a second chance - for whatever reason, the Torquere Taste Test anthologies just didn't sell well for me. And yes, the old double standards are just one reason why I'm not a fan of het romance.

I'm extremely chuffed you liked the cover - apart from the words, which I couldn't get right, it's all my own work. I got as far as mocking up my own cover, then decided I couldn't face all the work of self-pubbing - but fortunately JMS liked my mock-up. :D
