Getting organised

erastes, I have bought my train ticket to Ely for the meet-up next month. This may or may not turn out to be a good idea, although I have checked and there are no engineering works scheduled that day. Yet.
And I have written 1,200 words of the Christmas novella (a sequel to Pleasures With Rough Strife, set four years later in 1926). It has been surprisingly easy to get into: Philip's voice seemed to come back to me without any trouble, although I imagine Danny will be a little harder. He's aged from 18 to 22, and gone from being a poacher living with his mum to the position of gamekeeper, with his own cottage (with frequent visits from the lord of the manor!). I've introduced two new characters, one of whom, Philip's cousin Lawrence, is going to cause all sorts of problems for Danny and Philip... ;)
