A tense question
Sep. 16th, 2010 02:00 pmSoooo, I am currently in the early stages of what will hopefully become my next novel. (Werewolves; Berlin. Working title: Feathers, for reasons known only to me). It is written in the first person - and so far, in the present tense.
Is this authorly suicide?
I like it in present tense because there is a lot of action in it--and we are deep in the narrator's head, experiencing his reactions as they come. But is it going to get awfully wearing for the reader over a novel-length story?
Should I switch to past tense now, before the task becomes too monstrous?
(I ain't changing to third person, btw, so don't even suggest it!) *g*
